One of the main challenges that I have faced in designing my range of traditional workbenches has been sourcing hardware of an acceptable design and quality to install within them. I have tried and tested most of the options available and have gained a good understanding of what works well for me and what doesn’t but I’ve always struggled to settle for something that I feel matches the qualities that my benches represent. I’ve yet to find a vice that has the warmth and soul that I feel is so important in any workbench.
